The Delaware County Chapter of Mothers & More was started in January 2004 because of a need for mothers to meet as women. The group is designed to provide opportunities for self growth, the development of friendships, and leadership roles. We're a young chapter that's done it all. Our chapter has brought wonderful speakers to our meetings. Past speakers have included Miriam Peskowitz, author of The Truth Behind the Mommy Wars, Devra Renner, co-author of Mommy Guilt, to local community leaders, such as Sue Kaiden of GetWorks, and Kim Fink, of Makin' Music. We've visited the Philadelphia Zoo, Morris Arboretum, Tyler Arboretum, The Please Touch Museum, Smith Playhouse, and The New Jersey Aquarium. We've met up at local restaurants with and without kids. We've gathered at member homes to discuss books or work on unfinished projects. |
We've also gathered supplies for area refugees, and gifts for needy children during the holidays.
